If you are planning to enrol for further education in a New Zealand educational institution, you should consider taking one of our academic courses.  We recommend that if you want academic study, you should start your course with a period of General English.
Course content for all courses includes:

International textbooks are used, as well as interesting and relevant material prepared daily by your teacher.

Who is this course for?

The TOEIC Exam Preparation Course is for you if you wish to sit the TOEIC Examination. TOEIC test scores indicate how well people can communicate in English in the global workplace.

There are two courses available for you– either a 4-week preparation, or a 1-week intensive programme. If you wish to study a General English programme, you can transfer to the TOEIC Preparation Course at a later date if desired.

The exam

The TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) test is a practical, English language proficiency test for people whose native language is not English. The TOEIC Test comprises of three sections (reading, writing and listening) there is no speaking component of the test.

Canterbury Language College is a registered TOEIC Testing Centre, so you can take the TOEIC exam at the school after completing the preparation programme.
