Cambridge Certificates in English Proficiency are recognised worldwide by employers and academic institutions. You can sit exams at a variety of levels, depending on your English ability.
Preliminary English Test (PET)
Entry Level: Intermediate
Course Length: 10 weeks
This course prepares you for this general test of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. It is recommended for intermediate students who would like to take the FCE some time in the future.
First Certificate in English (FCE)
Entry Level: Upper Intermediate
Course Length: 10 weeks
This course prepares you for the most popular of all the Cambridge examinations. You will be taught to use a wide range of vocabulary in a variety of social and work situations.
The examination consists of 5 papers: Reading, Writing, Use of English, Listening and Speaking.
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
Entry Level: Advanced
Course Length: 10 weeks
This course is for you if you are able to use English fluently.
Preparation for this very practical exam features: many realistic writing tasks such as business letters, leaflets and brochures, vocabulary building through authentic reading; and emphasis on speaking and listening. You also need a good grasp of grammar, which is tested both in real-world tasks and the English in Use paper. It is recommended for people who work at a managerial or professional level.
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
Entry Level: Advanced and approaching native speaker skill +level
Course Length: 10 weeks
This course is for you if you would like to enter university or another place of higher learning. CPE is an academic examination for people who have a wide vocabulary, enjoy literature and a range of other reading material, and can talk fluently on any topic.
