Who is this course for?
The Academic IELTS Course is an 8-week, full-time course where you will practice all aspects of the IELTS examination and learn important strategies for essay writing, increasing range in speaking and writing, listening and reading tasks and building active vocabulary. This course is for you if you are willing to work diligently in order to get the best possible result in Academic IELTS.
You are strongly advised to take these courses in the second half of your term of study here. These are eight-week courses of full-time study. The official IELTS examinations are held every two weeks and each course start date is timed to ensure that you gain the maximum assistance and benefit before the actual examination.
If you are accepted into this course, you must be prepared to study hard, and should be living in an English environment.

Assessment
Each Monday there is a test with a 60% pass mark. Every Friday afternoon there is a practice IELTS exam to monitor your progress.
