Canterbury College is a member of English New Zealand and is a signatory to the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students.

Canterbury College’s multi-cultural, international campus is in the centre of downtown Christchurch City. We have a strict English-only policy in the school to help you use English and learn faster. When you study at Canterbury College, you will make friends from many other countries, and also be close to the public library, banks, excellent shopping, movies and clubs, restaurants, public transport and much more.

Canterbury College teachers are all native speakers of English and hold internationally-recognised qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language. They are selected for their experience, flexibility and cultural sensitivity. Most of our teachers have lived overseas and have experienced some of the same feelings that you may experience when coming to New Zealand.
